KISW's 50th Birthday Celebration Starts Feb. 12

In my mind there are only a handful of iconic and/or historical radio stations in Seattle. On the AM side, from most important today, KOMO, KIRO, KVI, from the FM side, KISW, KING, KZOK, KUOW, KIRO FM with honorable mention to KPLZ, KSWD and perhaps KUBE, but the latter seems a bit lost here in 2021 with less than impressive numbers recently.

KJR is still active, and still has some ratings. And they're one of the oldest stations in the metro, and have a famous history as well. I would consider them iconic as well.

You are right. Probably should have included ‘JR for their history if nothing else.
