KITS - Live 105

Just noticed Live 105's station sweepers sound incredibly different. IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! they dropped Party Ben and brought back Will Morgan. Sounds just like KROQ's imaging. I liked Live 105's imaging before Party Ben (back in the mid 90's). Almost like the imaging reunited itself. :)

Thank you Live 105 for fixing the imaging!

Did the station change it's format?

If you call reducing the library nearly in half and cutting back on the creative production and programs...yes.

what do you mean cutting back on creative production and programs...nothings changed except the station imaging...sounds better...more like KROQ-LA did before KROQ recently changed imaging.

he is talking about no more subsonic, friday night game show, etc stuff like that

LOL! Friday night game show!

Seems like everyone in radio is starting to walk a wierd tightrope.

Station imaging takes the backseat when live talent is highlighted (KITS does have some really great jocks/personalities) but when there are no jocks (see JACK -FM) then Imaging takes the drivers seat. Maybe PB can get some work with one of those JACK stations. Afterall he is Mega-Creative!

Exactly. Sean and Co. were a very creative group. This year's Live 105 sounds like a well executed cookie cutter format. Nothing extra, nothing entertaining, nothing memorable.

I like the new imaging, sort of reminds me of the old 98.5 New Rock KOME imaging of the mid 90's.

I can't really blame LIVE for tightening up and getting rid of some of their specialty shows, their ratings are inching up a little bit since doing so, sadly, the reality is that the Alternative rock format is dying a slow painful death, and someone needs to either pull the life support machine or give it a shot of needed adrenaline.

Oh how I miss the Richard Sands days of LIVE 105 and furthermore how I miss 98.5 KOME as well, but those days are long long gone.

To be remarkable you need to be unreasonable. Kudos to those who break the rules, stretch the limits and find a new creative muse...or one that worked in the past. There will never be another KOME radio, however it is noble to aspire.
