KIYS, 101.9, aka KISS FM in Jonesboro

Did I read right a while back that this station was moving from Jonesboro to Memphis? Did they change formats? I was up north recently and listened to them and all I heard was Urban music. Whatever happened to Kevin Box at KISS FM?
 
YES, THE FREQUENCY IS MOVING TO THE MEMPHIS MARKET IN SOME MONTHS AHEAD...CLEAR CHANNEL STILL OWNS IT. DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY PLAN TO PROGRAM ONCE THEY MOVE IT TO CRAWFORDSVILLE IN CRITTENDEN COUNTY. AS FOR KEVIN, HE GOT LET GO WHEN EAB BOUGHT THE JONESBORO CC CLUSTER. HE'S DOING FINE WORKING IN SALES AT JIMCO MANUFACTURING HERE IN TOWN. DENNIS ROGERS
 
I am both excited and curious about this move. I assume EAB will keep the calls and the format. Will they be able to keep the Kiss brand? I already get KIYS pretty good now here in Memphis. I have been thinking about the format for 101.9 when it moves here, We already have plenty of stations with a similar format here. There's just a few formats I can think of. Country because as well as KIX is rating they still need some competiton. I think there morning show needs alot of help. What about an FM country legends station? Don't know how well that would work because the legends station in Houston is not doing so great anymore. If we had a country station competing with KIX though, it could play a bigger variety of country including more classics. They pulled the plug on the commercial smooth jazz station here. They didn't give it enough time. But you can tune in to noncomm 88.5 for that. Especially on Sundays that's all they play then it's great. They could be an FM news talker as well. What do you think? I'd like to know. The boards need a good thread going now.
