KIYS Jonesboro Signal

I've noticed that too. They stopped using their RDS along with the other CC's in Jonesboro. They seem to be going backwards.... What's up? BTW, Triple FM can't sound better (well minus a couple of jocks :)).

not to meantion the audio quality isn't very good either... but allot CC's CHR's leave much to be desired
Power 95.9 in Texarkana being one exception

Slightly off the subject of KIYS, but speaking of audio quality in Jonesboro, has anyone else noticed how heavily processed both CC country stations (Wolf and K Fine) are? They give me a headache if I listen too long or even a little loud and that's in the car-not on headphones. It would be nice if they'd back them off a little. If CC would spend a little $$, they could get a decent processor that would still be loud but at least sound good.

KIYS 101.9's signal is much weaker than normal in Memphis

The seem to often have transmitter issues.

possibly because they're not a memphis station? and the transmitter is north of jonesboro...about 80 miles from memphis?

just askin'...

KIYS usually has a decent signal over most of Memphis.. this is a recent change...

for years until the past year or 2 101.9 had a home in my presets...

as of late the signal is not listenable in town at all...

its only slightly better than 104.9 & 106.7 if that gives you an idea... since they are at much lower HAAT & ERP
