KJ on JR days

Hello all :D

I'm curious if anyone remembers the Kevin Joyce days on JR. I was an intern under Michael Barr and was able to pick Kevin's brain from time to time. Well I've moved out to Denver after spending 15 years workin' gigs on the road and going to Metro State trying to get back into radio and I'm looking at doing talk. I'd really like to find out if Kevin is still in the biz and if so where his present gig is.

Otherwise, can anyone give me any advice on how to break into liberal talk?

Thanks! ;D

Kevin Joyce died several years ago. It's interesting you mention Kevin Joyce and then say you want to break into liberal talk. Kevin Joyce Show was conservative talk, "Rush-type show". I never listened to him, but people say his show was very good and that he was a very nice guy off the air.

Hi TV,

Yes! Kevin was very, very cool! He didn't have any of the ego or attitude you see in many broadcasters today. I don't know why JR fired him but they lost a good host. He had helped me as I was going to Specs back in the late 80s.

Talk is talk the only real difference is what side of a given issue you're on.

Thanks for the reply!

Mike
