KJAK Radio Lubbock

http://www.myfoxlubbock.com/mostpopular/story/woody-van-dyke-obit/cSzdrkly8E6NF2R7dumLIA.cspx

Woody ran that station for at least a couple of decades. I had met him several times over the years mainly when my kids were playing High school football in Lubbock. Always seemed like a nice guy, sad to see him go at a relatively young age. KJAK says they'll keep going with a Christian format. He'd been running it so long I wonder if the station will switch formats or even sell. I've listened to the station during regular hours many times buy very little of it sounds local. Anyone know more about the station or the owners?

owned by williams broadcasting group aka williams oil co, basically 2 women from oklahoma who own nothing more than KJAK according to "radio locator"... its a 100,000 watt FLAMETHROWER broadcasting the Gospel 24/7, OK, that's fine! and they are probably making just enough to keep it on the air.. BUT... can you imagine the possibilities, AND what the station could be worth on the open market?
plus if they sold it, maybe Stuckey's could re-claim the building and make a comeback! mmmmm pecan divinity....
