KJFX Carjacking Updates...

Spot's been missing a little work lately and we've had to keep a lid on it, but Fresno P.D. has released the story...

For those of you who know Spot or just enjoy his show: He’s getting better every day. He will be back, but for the moment he’s chasing nurses and keeping his feet up. How he does both at once we may never know…

If you see a cop, fireman, EMT, or Paramedic buy ‘em a cup of coffee. From the first-responders last Wednesday morning, to the CSI crew, to the officers and detectives investigating the case: every last one was the kind of man or woman you pray for when it’s your turn to call 911.

Let me say that again: Fresno P.D., Fresno Fire, and the local Paramedics & EMT’s were outstanding. They worked together to help our friend and they worked together to apprehend a pack of criminals who were running the streets like wild dogs.

KMPH has a more complete narrative, Fresno Bee has the best pictures of the alleged perpetrators, and KFSN 30 was the first to identify Spot by “name.”

For your enlightenment…

Good to hear he's getting better. I'd just heard about the incident today...

Yea, Spot is one of the guys I've always thought brought a little extra professionalism to Fresno radio.

Best wishes for Spot's recovery, my prayers are out to him, he's a great guy and a great broadcaster.

Let me first start off by saying I am flat out pissed off at the people who committed this crime. Spot is a good friend and one of the best sound engineers I've worked with on the Fresno music scene. He absolutely did not deserve this.

Who the hell did these people think they were!? I cannot stand people who walk through life with the mindset that they own the world, can do no wrong, and everyone must bow down to them. I have so much hatred built up for these people...I went to high school with people like that and couldn't stand them for the life of me.

Look at the pictures of the men who did this...the stereotypical gangbangers that walk the streets saggin' their jeans thinkin' that the world looks up to them and that they're badass, and anyone who thinks otherwise and doesn't worship the ground they walk on will be "dealt with" accordingly...just like Hitler in Nazi Germany.

They'd be stupid to even excercise their right to a defense attorney...given the circumstances of the take down performed by Fresno PD good luck trying to find an attorney who will even take the case.

I'm still laughing at how the take down went...how they tried to carjack the undercover cop...true candidates for the Darwin award right there.

I hope Spot is alright and I wish him a speedy recovery. Would like to know any updates as to his condition. If anyone knows could they please email me at [email protected] ? Anyone here who has routine contact with him also let him know that Cowboy is concerned and would like to get ahold of him if at all possible...he'll know who you're talking about.

Cowboy,

First: I’m passing your note along to Spot. He’ll appreciate the spirit of the thought, I’m sure.

Second: F-ing A, man. I’d like nothing more than to host an Irish Boot Party for these clowns. My peace of mind comes from knowing that they’re either going to live the next decade (or so) as someone’s wife…or get out…only to find every biker, construction worker, tow-truck driver, and honest working man between Sacramento and Bakersfield is howling for their blood.

Finally: Spot is doing better every day. To state it plainly: he’s exceeded the expectations of his doctors at every turn. He’s not gonna be playing any touch-football this season, but he is getting better every day.
