KJLH-FM 102.3 Los Angeles

I had a chance to listen to KJLH-FM earlier this week and I heard them mentioning several times that 24 hours Gospel is coming soon. Does anyone know if KJLH-FM is changing to Gospel on 102.3 FM or will the Gospel be placed on a HD station?

I have been wondering the same thing. I was listening this afternoon and the jock was announcing that 24 hours Gospel is coming soon. Stevie Wonder was at my church this Sunday and did a gospel concert during the service...should be interesting to see what KJLH does. I thinking it will be gospel on a HD station.

I'm glad KJLH didn't change to gospel because they play it enough as it is during the week and all day sundays.

have you all ever heard of "Rejoice! Musical Soulfood"? That's a 24/7 Syndicated Radio Format. They come on around the United States in about ??? 5 states? They're great on Saturday nights 7pm-Midnight eastern time
Hope you all get to hear what you like. Good luck out there
Greetings from Boston, Massachusetts

Yeah I heard of it. ABC radio use to own it in the 90's then it got sold off. I heard of SGM The Light. Only cities I can think of are Kansas City, San Fransico and Dallas that carry the network.
Close thing to urban gospel in Los Angeles is KTYM 1460 which mainly is religous brodcasts

Not enough listeners to support a urban gospel station on FM. Barely AM in Los Angeles. KJLH has always included gospel in its format for years. Sundays from 12am til Monday 12am. It use to be until 3pm or 7pm a few years back Also in the early morning hours. As far as radio one goes Im glad they left Los Angeles.

i dont understand why radio-one did not go gospel when it owned 100.3 in LA
I couldn't see them turning KKBT into a gospe station let alone an URBAN AC. The only time they played gospel music was Sunday morning while KJLH would play it all day Sunday. I'm sorry but I couldn't see it then and I can't see it now. KJLH was rumored to flip to Urban Gospel in October 2001 when KHHT debuted but was continuing to play current R&B. They it enough. KJLH is always the first station in L.A. to spin Kirk Franklin. I remember they playing Kirk Franklin Stomp so much in 1997 that by early 1998 it was stomped out great song.
