I am not from the Houston area, but heard somewhere that the hurricane took down the KJOJ tower. Do any of you guys know if this is true. I saw that they have a new CP.

On loud and clear in Lavaca county or the last time I checked.

Is there a way to look-up an STA on the FCC web site? They maybe on from another site.

The best way to check for any current STA's is by looking for station applications here: http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/cdbs_pa.htm

Maybe there was some confusion here, since KJOJ-FM apparently is still on from their licensed site. But KJOJ 880 up in Conroe took a hit from Ike; according to the CDBS they lost commercial power to the transmitter site and they filed for a "silent" STA until they could get it restored.
