KJR-FM hires new host Marc James for midday

Looks like iHeart is backfilling their sports radio host roster. News and reaction from Jim Moore about the replaced Gregg Bell and other in-market options the KJR-FM PD could have considered:

My reaction to today's debut of "MJ in the Midday" is that James is coming off as a cross between Mitch in the Morning and Softy Mahler, and that Christopher Kidd (Bell's sidekick) is once again a sidekick instead of getting a larger role.

I wish him the best and hope it works out for KJR. I consider myself to be more of a KIRO 710 listener just because I like the overall presentation better. KIRO always seems to have more in-depth analysis compared to KJR. I hope that KJR continues to round out their roster match what Bonneville has achieved.
