KJTV Fox Talk 950 on 100.7 FM?

I was playing around with my radio and heard Fox Talk 950 being simulcast 100.7 today. I have no clue how far this signal goes. I assume it is a low power signal, since it could interfere with 100.3 and 101.1 if it were a full power signal.

Not really. They're selling it to Ramar for $36K.

It's a translator licensed to Meadow and at 35 watts I'm surprised it makes it into Lubbock at all: www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FX1340984.html

They do have a construction permit for a power increase to 99 watts from a different site, although it was granted quite recently (November 13): www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FX1342560.html

Seems like a whole lot more that "35 watts" to me (unless they're on top of a really tall tower)! I'm sitting in my house a block away from Fox 34, well within the Metro, and it comes in just fine on my walkman, no multipath or inteference at all!

I'm sure you guys at KMMX and KONE are just thrilled...

I caught some of it yesterday while driving around the SW part of town...Pretty clean little signal. Funny thing I thought was how much clearer and sharper the signal on 100.7 was than what is going out over 104.3.
