A station I listen to occaitionally when It comes in, what a great small town country station. They have Local news at the Top of the hour as well as updates from Fox News Radio, as well as Local Jocks. They're owned by Clarke that owns the other two stations in town, KVML 1450 and Star 92.7 and the company also runs mymotherlode.com which is worth a look. http://www.mymotherlode.com/news/

Any Thoughts? Anyone listen to the station?
 
I just tried and can't get either of the FM's in Pioneer, although I think we used to before the days of HD. I have tuned into the AM once in a while for news, and they used to have a buy-and-sell program on Saturday mornings - not sure if that's still going on or not. But it was always fun to listen to. It's mostly right-wing rant stuff though, which I find boring.

Used to listen to it quite often when I lived in Amador Co... Puts out a usable signal over most of San Joaquin County and out into the delta. Even DX'd it from the east slope of 20 coming down off of Clear Lake a few times.

Really is the epitome of Live,Local Radio. The jocks are true good 'ol mountain people. The morning show is strong in the community.

All around a good country station, and doesn't lean as AC as much as its valley counterparts.
 
It has a pretty strong signal for 400 watts, and comes in grett here in the east bay once you get over Willow Pass. I imagine The Kat still comes in good around the motherlode, but with Live and Local, I'm sure KKBN beats the hell out of The KAT in the Motherlode, but how much money can be made in the area?
