KKCR 95.3 Katy, Tx

Was off of Mason Rd Katy, Tx this evening (830pm) and I had my radio tuned to 95.3 where my GPS was transmitting on to listen to some mp3's. Well, I was getting buried by a pirate signal. Solid signal from Clay Rd to I-10 and 3 miles east of Mason Rd on I-10 lost signal. They were airing Snap - I've Got The Power, went into Paula Abdul - Knocked Out. They identified themselves as KKCR 95.3. KKCR is in Hawaii. Anyone in the area that could confirm this or additional details?
 
KKCR is actually on 90.0 in Kanalei, Hawaii. Sounds like someone was re-broadcasting them using the stations audio feed from the web.
