KKDA-AM PPM Surge?

Why does KKDA-AM appear in the first live PPM data from Dallas-Ft. Worth as #7 right behind KKDA-FM? My guess is this is something wrong with the meter since both stations have the same share and cume, but why didn't arbitron correct this before releasing the data?

In 12+, KKDA FM is 6th, with a 4.0, while KKDA (AM) is 34th with a 1 share.

Wherever you saw the data, there must have been an error in the post, because the Arbitron data does not show them at all close in any demo or daypart.

12+ ranker is..
KLNO
KVIL
KHKS
KSCS
KPLX
KKDA FM
KLUV
KZPS
KBFB
KLTY
KPMZ

KVIL does well as the "December" month ended December 11, with several weeks of Christmas music on that station, doubling the normal share range in the last two weeks of the survey "month."

The site with the KKDA-AM listing mistake is Radio-Info.com.

No numbers are listed there for non-commercial stations or the KVIL-IF listing of 0.1 mentioned at Radio And Records' site.

An error is an error. You might want to report it to the board administrator. It might help them determine how it happened for future accuracy.

The data from Arbitron includes streams, digital (HD2) and analog stations, commercial and non-commercial. Anything that is encoded is reported if it gets some listening within the PPM standardss for minimum reporting. The listing on R-I for San Francisco includes KQED, a very successful non-com, so maybe the answer is that the Dallas data was somehow corrupted or scrambled.
