I heard KKDV program director (and longtime KKIQ announcer) Jim Hampton's message today on 92.1 letting old KABL listeners know that they could still find the Adult Standards format online at kablradio.com, and mentioning that 92.1 was once the home of another popular local station, KKIS, that served the Walnut Creek-Concord-Pleasant Hill community.
He went on to say that listeners will see KKDV personalities out in the community at festivals, merchants and events in the area, and that the station will be providing hometown news and traffic reports focused on the area the station serves -- not San Jose or San Francisco.
Very nicely done.
