Hi everyone:
It it just me or has anyone else here noticed KKFN's battle with "Radio Schizophrenia" ever since they left the AM band for 104.3 by trying to stuff local programming, FOX Sports Radio & (Albeit limited) ESPN Radio (With the latter having the better sports content) all into one basket?
I mean wouldn't it just make better sense to move FOX Sports Radio to AM 1600 (Thus returning the KKFN call letters back to AM) & move KEPN with ESPN Radio to 104.3 instead? That would make AM 1600 the main place to talk sports (Both locally & nationally), although there could also be local sports talk & Nuggets games on a secondary basis to KCKK-AM 1510 just as they did last year.
As for NFL broadcasts on Westwood One, that could stay on 104.3 since it would only interrupt ESPN programming on Sundays. Either that or the NFL broadcasts on Westwood One could be temporarily moved to AM 1600 while the baseball season winds down.
Am I just being Nit-Picky here or does any of this make any sense?
Thoughts?
Cheers
