Re: KKT'R
Hardly anyone under 30 even knows how to find the AM tuner on their radios. The next generation of radio listeners doesn't care about AM and never will. The rise of Limbaugh and other conservative talk imitators 20 years ago were AM's stay of execution, but the writing's on the wall. What happened to music on AM in the late 80s will soon happen to talk programming.dr.akbar said:Actually 92.3 is the average AGE of a Pat McMahon listenerKJCB said:You can put Pat McMahon on FM, but you can't force anyone under 70 to listen.Nurse Jeff and I think CC will cannibalize one of their FMs to become KFYI-FM before the Men In Secret Underwear get this thing through the FCC. An LMA is KT'R's best hope to be the first news/talk FM in Phoenix. So if BOTH KFYI & KT'R go FM, does that mean the end of AM radio as we've known it? We think YES. :-*
