KKGM 1630 BIN off the air?

I noticed KKGM 1630 kHz Black Information Network has been silent for the past few weeks. The 970 BIN affiliate is still broadcasting. Anyone know what's up with 1630?

Good question. They didn't alert the FCC, which is a no no.

They have 30 days to file a Silent STA... They only have to notify the FCC after 10 days in writing but that never shows up in the database.. 30 day time limit is the one that gets the official notice for the STA

If 1630 is the expanded band "twin" of 970, could be possible that the owner has finally chosen 970 and decided to give up 1630?

I am sure there has to be some transmitter issues. iHeart would not have spent a million dollars for 970/1630 to just let 1630 go back. That dog don't hunt!!!!!

Must have been a temporary problem, as 1630 is back on the air, as of 11/29/2022.
