KKGM Flips To Southern Gospel

Kent said:
Unless things have changed, 970 and 1040 are urban gospel.

They are, which are two totally different formats.

So KKGM flipped back to Southern Gospel, huh? Guess their talk radio format (which was short-lived) didn't work out so well for them.

Why would any station flip to "Southern Gospel"? It's been tried and tried for years here....and failed since at least 1983 (when KXVI-AM eased out of the format and into a hybrid that these days would be a cross between Air-1 and 89.7 Power FM.)

Did not know that Mortensen flipped it to talk. Now they are back to Southern Gospel. Interesting.

I think 1480 re-launched with the SG format as well recently. I have not checked back since they first returned to the air..
