KKGO Adds Syndication

When she did the national evening show for Cumulus, I found it to be a snooze fest. Too many ballads; not nearly enough uptempo songs.

Hopefully her new show is better than that one.

Okay, so if I take the subject line and your post literally, there's a disc jockey named "Syndication."

Wanna tell us who you're talking about here?
Did you read the linked article?? Her name is Elaina Smith and she hosts Backstage Country for Beasley Media Group and Key Networks.

This is a big change for a station that says they have live & local hosts.

I must still be in your "ignore" file.

KKGO is doing something it said it wouldn't do: Add a syndicated night show:

Things are tight all over. Even at KKGO, which has it the easiest by owning all of their facilities outright with no debt service.

One year ago, Saul made a bunch of changes with the intent of returning to the #1 cume country station.

KKGO FM is aiming to restore its former No. 1 USA cume in the Nielsen ratings, Levine said. Cume for KKGO Los Angeles in the Holiday 2019 PPMs was 1,179,900.

So where are things now, one year later? Not so good.

Being #1 among country stations nationwide in AQH listeners is a more worthwhile goal than being #1 in cume.

I'd be curious to know where KKGO ranks in that metric. Their TSL in the most recent ratings survey period was strong.
