KKGO question

How does KKGO rate among Hispanics in the 18-34 demo? Thanks for your answer.

KKGO is now 12th in 18-34 overall. In 18-34 Hispanics, it is is 27th.

Maybe KKGO needs to play more songs by Rick Trevino, Freddy Fender and Johnny Rodriguez! ;)

Country does very well in long-established Hispanic markets like Albuquerque and San Antonio and McAllen... even places like Fresno.

The difference is that those markets are, first, country lifestyle markets and, second, Hispanics are predominantly or overwhelmingly English speaking and third generation or beyond.

David---I know country does extremely well in 6+ and (presumably) in 25-54 in many of the markets out west; does your remark regarding third-generation English speaking Hispanics also hold true in these markets?

KIIM/Tucson---#1 for many years.

KNIX & KMLE/Phoenix---Two heritage country stations with decades of success in market.

KMPS/Seattle---longtime country powerhouse; has been locked in tight race for 25-54 supremacy with KKWF.

KUPL & KWJJ/Portland--Another furious battle for 25-54 supremacy, just like Seattle

KYGO-Denver--Longtime #1 in the market; new PD just came in from KRST/Albuquerque

KRTY/San Jose---5.9 in PPM (6+) according to today's Country Aircheck is best ever rating in the PPM era.

KNCI/Sacramento--Longtime local powerhouse and frequently #1 in market.

KWNR & KCYE/Las Vegas----Both steady performers in market.

Finally, do country stations in cities such as Reno & Salt Lake City with multiple country outlets, do respectably well with 3rd generation English-speaking Hispanics?

I would ask about Boise, but the city is only 11% hispanic & subscriber-only.

Thanks for your time!
