KKGO's Shawn Parr to host Cumulus' Nash Nights Live

It looks like KKGO (Go Country) 105 Morning Man Shawn Parr is headed to Nashville according to all access.

Wow. For a quarter of a century, Shawn Parr WAS SOCAL country radio. He was its chief ambassador and #1 fan. Regardless of what airshift he was on, Shawn always brought his A game. Those will be some mighty big boots to fill.

Good for him I suppose, but what of the 84 (or so) local jocks he's going to put out of work? Do you think he feels any responsibility for that? Or maybe they were already sacrificed on the Altar of the Dickey Gods' Debt Service months ago...

I don't listen to KKGO ("Go Country") too much, but he seems like one of the good guys in this industry. He's definitely paid his dues working for Saul.

Paid his dues? You must not be aware of how long Shawn Parr's been in radio. Shawn was practically the voice most identified with the old KZLA. He worked almost every airshift there during his tenure. He began working for Saul in '06. Even before then, he was the announcer heard on the Academy of Country Music Awards(which he still does) and other Dick Clark Productions award shows. Shawn paid his dues a long time ago.
