KKIT 1340 AM, Albuquerque-Santa Fe?

The Air America web site lists "KKIT 1340 AM" as an Albuquerque-Santa Fe affiliate, in addition to KABQ, Alburquerque. Somebody said on the News/Talk board that there's no such station. True?

Isnt that the sister station that KKOB banished Dr. Laura to when they picked up Hannity to follow Rush?

I believe Dr. Laura went to KTBL 1050 AM. KABQ is 1350 so I can't imagine there is a 1340 near by. I think KKIT is an FM station near Taos.

Currently, KKIT is an FM station in Angel Fire, with an FM repeater in Taos. However, I recall there used to be a KKIT-AM 1340 right in Taos which went dark a number of years ago, and is no longer listed in the FCC database.

According to the database, there may be two applicants currently competing to put a new station on 1340 AM in Taos. One is Alpine Broadcasting Limited Partnership, and the other is Richard L. Garcia and Darren Cordova.
