KKLF 1700 to comedy 2/1

Re: KKLF 1700 -- On at night ? ?

I really enjoy the selection of Oldies Music I hear tonight on 1700. But I'm getting Brownsville's Clear Channel KVNS (800 Watts), and not anything from Richardson's KKLF (1000 Watts). Does KKLF shut down at night ? ?

I only wish that same KVNS programming could be heard better here. Does CC have the same format of KVNS in the Dallas area ? ?

Occasionally KKLF shuts down at night for what I assume is maintenance.
I always love when it does, KVNS is an awesome station.
No CC doesn't have that format here in Dallas, but CBS does have KLUV which is a darn good Classic Hitter too. There's also KGVL that's more traditional oldies, but only half the market can get that (and that's being generous).

The funny thing about KKLF vs KVNS...
KKLF 1kW night
KVNS 880 W Night.

KKLF is actually the "stronger" station. But KVNS skips so much better, likely because its so close to the ocean.

But if you notice KKLF does shut down a few times a year at night.

In Central Texas, I get both. It's usually one or the other on a 2 mile drive up and down SH 95. I heard both equally.
