KKND 106.7 should flip its format to ____________?

KKND should flip back to being a alternative rocker, but much more focussed on currents than 104.1 is. I wouldnt call it "The End" though, maybe 106X or something similar. Opinions?
 
New Orleans rock stations for more than 20 years have never scored more than a combined 8 or 9 share. The market doesn't warrant 3 rockers. 104.1 should add some newer tunes or go just plain Active Rock. I say 106.7 needs to either go full fledged country, or go after other powerhouses with no competition like Magic or B97.

other than urban what format has had more than a combined 8 or 9 share in new orleans? i agree 104.1 should just go active. and 106.7 should flip to classic country.or put classic country on 92.3 and flip 92.3 to diva 106.7.
 
It should go back to the end. That shouldn't have been flipped in the first place. The end was one of my favourite stations in the city. It wasn't a number one but no alternative station ever would be, but they still pulled decent numbers over all. It's a crime what they did to the station
 
KKND is pretty good since flipping to a hot country format as of late even though they are kind of burning some of the good and burnt songs in my opinion on there again... (But the advertising to get the word isn't there... wow some billboards... what about some good word of mouth?)

But yeah Diva needs to go bye bye... 104.1 isn't cutting it for me... they keep flipping what they want to be as a station every week... newer rock one week, today is 90s alternative and 80s rock (Black Crows anyone?) .. I'm a fan of terrestrial radio but damn is sirius looking good for rock and classic country in this area for sure...

New Orleans needs a new rock station (I think active rock.. a true active/Alternative rocker.. not the wanna be stuff out of 104.1), if it has to be on 106.7, I'd say go for it, blow up 92.3 for country music but the Diva has been a female dog far too long on New Orleans radio...

Actually I've been waiting on multiple blows..Cause you know WWWL isn't doing anything also...
 
I somewhat like the hot country too but they are not getting the word out enough to make a difference. Classic country is not a bad idea, please no more rock or active rock or alternative....give me a break with the same tired formats. I would say talk but since we have about 20 talk stations now and I only find one of them remotely interesting (and it aint 870 or 995) then that would flop too. What about some kinda oldies to replace the lame oldies we have now? or would it be called classic hits instead of oldies?
 
I agree. I like the station more that they have gone more "hot country," it's just I forget to listen because it was bad for too long. Also, I noticed that the logo changed from the "NASCAR" looking logo. Did they get "cease and desist-ed?"
 
If the country doesn't work I'd like to hear them go CHR and go competitive with B-97. I'm sick of that Afternoon Swirl crap. It's supposed to be entertaining, but it's a bore. Stevee G is a whiney bore. I won't press my B-97 preset in the car in the afternoon just to avoid that stupidity! lol

HOT, MIX, or POWER 106.7; here it comes!!!
