Tried to bring up the End's website this morning and it seems as though it is no longer there. www.1067theend.com Is this a sign that the End will not be returning to the air in mid December as they have planned? Anyone have any new info?

Probably when you tried,they had it down for maintaince. No index page, no website sometimes brought up.

Brought it up fine (the website)... With it doing a little better in ratings than Diva (No word on who's cash flow is better though)...and 95.7 not shifting toward newer Rock like I thought they would if they knew the end wouldn't come back..I'd say wait and see

I was told at the time that all fulltime positions at Citadel New Orleans were filled. The G.M. said to me later in June that he would'nt have a problem having me part time on the air on KKND, but the decision was up to the p.d. (who also did the morning show). For a host of reasons including the fact that hiring someone with my high name recognition and talent on their station as a part timer would cause problems with listeners and possilbly overshadow other air talents, I was told by the p.d. that he did not want to hire me on 106.7.
Also, If I do return to New Orleans radio, I would be identified as Hooks and not just Jay.
Again, I appreciate your support smashedcd and others in Louisiana radio who have expressed support for me on these message boards as well as in person.

To Hooks
Now that Karen Swensen is leaving and Hoda Kotb marrying a New Orleanian, will Channel 4 wise up and do two things:
Match Hoda's NBC salary and lure her back to Channel 4
and last but least
Hire YOU as Hoda's CO-ANCHOR?

RATINGS WOULD BE VERY HIGH FOR CHANNEL 4
