So, its Wednesday, and 960 still plays the commercial for "tomorrow's" Tuesday show of Bill Bennet, three days in a row, every break.

And, for a month now, we have had the most poorly edited commercial for land in Prescott, where they splice the woman's testimonial up about 20 times in 60 seconds, to create sentences that never occurred. And, still only 17 lots left, hurry! Been 17 lots now for a month, gee, I wonder if they have more? ::)

And the nasally Michigan'd accent woman with the no smoking care, really, get a pleasant voice to do the commercials.

Andy "How in the world are ya anyway?" Willoughby selling some scam 3 step Christian networking plan.

Some old lady talking about a homeopathic scam pain spray.

And, Howard Butt Jr. from Leity Lodge with some sappy story that somehow relates to Jesus.

Its a tiny step up from infomercials about colon cleaners and debt reduction scammers, but not much. Come on 960, do something to get ratings so you get away from PSA's and bottom feeders, and get some daily update teasers from Bill Bennett.
 
Never listen to KKNT, but the call sign sure make me giggle.

Yeah, the PSAs are awful, and they play them over and over. COPD. P.A.D. Radon. Still, it's preferable to listening to J.D. Hayworth or Mac and the other guy.

a couple or more years back, Mike Patrick was there production person, only for a short while. He replaced AL (can't remember his last name). Since then the P.D. Barry Besse was doing it and then Slim Jim, who used to work at Camel Country (weekends). After that, some board Op from their sister station KPXQ.
 
For over a year now, they have a bumper which starts, then starts again 5 seconds in, and cuts off the end where they give their web address.

I just heard it again today!

Sloppy.
 
The station has always had problems with the automation and no one seems to know how to fix it. I can't tell you how many times I fought the system when I did the morning news. It's horrible and the whole place is mismanaged.

Well, KKNT went and took their best show, Dennis Miller and put it in the cornfield, 9pm to Midnight.

In exchange we get the nasal Mark Levin, angry white guy. Oh joy, we have Savage and Levin on at the same time.

And, they keep Mike Gallagher, dumbest host since Michael Reagan.

KKNT, when you sleep on the floor, at least you can't fall out of bed.

Good luck with the ratings over there guys, at least you are beating the static station.

I sent John Timm a letter, but it was the standard babble speak that I got back.

Explained how Miller is a great break at the end of the day (or beginning of the morning if they had it live) instead of another annoying angry talkshow host like Levine. And to fix their bad production, get some sponsors that don't sound like carny barkers, etc.

But KKNT is doomed to wallow in the ratings ghettos, with hosts like Gallagher and Levine and zero local content, its a snoozer.

I like Medved, but lately he has become too religious, likewise with Prager. All the Salem hosts pretty much toe the line and report the same thing, and make sure to kiss the ring of the religious folks that pay their checks.
 
Follow up: John Timm sent me a nice email, he is a reader here! He seems like a decent guy. I explained that I tried to listen to Levin, but it was all rants and yelling, not my bag.

He invited me to tour the station, but I think that Akbar needs to come to cover my six. And, of course, Kool Listener Lauren is always on the invite list. :D

So, in the end, I agree to disagree with KKNT for sending Dennis Miller into the graveyard.

A personal appearance with the Nurse, Kool Lauren and Legend City? No way unless Oldiesfan, KOHS, Wacki Patti and the Old Gringo get to come. We can hear it now.....just look for the Gremlin on the roof!

btw...just what kind of mascot comes to mind for KKNT? :eek:
