KKOB-AM news shake-up

I hear KKOB-AM afternoon news anchor Laura MacCallum quit last week. Apparently, management nixed one of her stories after Heather Wilson's campaign leaned heavily on the news director and PD because the stories made Wilson unhappy. What a way to do news. MacCallum said she had an ethical problem with a political campaign calling the shots. Left without any notice.

Now that is a real shame! Though considering that a bloodbath is occurring with Citadel right now, she may have quit just in time.

And Wilson putting pressure on people? Where have I heard that before...

Why, so she can't get unemployment?

Touche...and she probably won't get a reference from KKOB anytime soon. Though now that I know the whole story, it sounds to me like MacCallum didn’t find another source to corroborate the claims-a fatal mistake. I would have more proof than the claims of one person who seems to have an axe to grind.

Genius...why is it everybody keeps forgetting that the GOP flack was interviewed first? I saw Heath's blog, too. He forgot to tell his readers that Wilson campaign spokeswoman "Whitney Cheshire used to write a column for his blog until she joined Wilson's office. No disclaimer, yet he likes to think he's a journalist. Sounds like a pure conflict to me. More backdoor BS from yet another journalist wannabe. If he's that great, why is he still stuck in Las Cruces?
