KKRW making the trip from Houston this morning

Driving around in the fog here in north San Antonio a few minutes ago, I was picking up KKRW, 93.7 The Arrow from Houston. It was intermittent with KLBJ-FM.
 
Hmm, thats pretty interesting. Fog can do wierd things to signals sometimes. Generally KLBJ is pretty dominant (although very weak) over the SA area.

It has more to do with the temperature inversion that caused this morning's fog. Cold air on top of warm air; thermal boundary made for good tropo conditions.

Back in the early 70's 93.7 in Austin (then KTBC-FM) signed off the air between 1 and 6 a.m., and the co-channel in Houston (then KRLY) would make it into the capital city quite clearly.
