KKSF San Francisco began to stream their audio on the internet in the spring of 1998. At the time the station used the early version of Windows Media Player (then called "Netshow"), and I believe they were streaming at 16 kbps.

Here is an hour of KKSF from April 1998 during their overnight hours. My files are 192/44.1 and can be found at these links:
