KKUS - The Ranch in Tyler

I'm not a big fan of classic country, but while scanning my dial a couple of weeks ago it landed on 104.1. I have to say that I really enjoyed listening to Chuck McKinley the rest of the afternoon. I also tuned in this weekend and listened for quite a while.

We all spend a lot of time on here complaining about stations, but I wanted to take a minute to give a compliment to the crew at KKUS. Like I said, I'm not a huge classic country fan, but for what they do, I think they do it well!

Very much agree. And Chuck is a class act, on the air and off. When he moved from KYKX to the Ranch, he hit the ground running, making a good effort on behalf of the station. Chuck no doubt is one of the stabilizing factors for the station.

Chuck's great. He's very underappreciated. When He, John Moore, Amy Austin, and Gary Walker were all at KNUE, it was probably one of the best small market airstaffs assembled.

Chuck's definitely one of the best in that market.
______________

John Moore has been a friend of mine for over 20 years.
I miss his radio show.

Thanks for the kinds words....and for The Ranch. In my humble opinion i have always felt KNUE was the last independent radio dynasty before the great buy outs occurred. Just my opinion.

Hey Chuck! Great to see you on the boards. I meant every word of it. I met you when you were at KYKX and my best friend T-Bone (God Rest His Soul) was at KFRO. I'm glad to see you're hanging in there. Please continue to post. Take care.
______________
