KKVI is illegal

I've wondered what their official website is. kkviradio.com is different from that bridge website. And I wonder if Iola even knows she's on the board of directors :) The kkvi seems to be more recent, but who knows. I didn't hover over the pics so I'll have to go check that out again. Even if KKVI IS on the air, there's NO WAY the translator is legal, as it cannot physically translate KKVI from an off air receiver. So there. :)

For some reason, I think this guy will please ignorance to the FCC, and will get all emotional with them about his Traveling Salvation Show and how can the government have the gall to hurt that, etc. In return, he'll get a big eye-rolling from Uncle Charlie and a slap on the wrist, no fine, and perhaps a warning. Then it will be back to business as usual. ::)

studio location, station tx power, staff pics, etc.

Well, thanks for finding this one. I guess we can assume it's the official "over-the-air" site for 95.9.

I understood some of it, translated the rest but didn't see any mention of the studio location or power. 1901 East Centerville in Garland, I take it, was the venue for the Raul Sanchez concert back on the 14th of May. That's the address of Central Park Church of God and their website has a link to "la estacion para la familia": www.centralparkchurchofgod.com/tp40/Default.asp?ID=98005

"The radio station coverage allows KKVI to bridge easy-listening music on our AM channel, community events and advertising while Gospel music play on the FM channel."

Wait, What?

sounds like they're a very confused bunch...

Well the "station for the family" has bumper stickers. I was behind a black Ford Escape Saturday morning near Firewheel Mall and a sticker with the same logo as on the website was on the back bumper.

I didn't know anyone did bumper stickers these days!

Really....what is their AM channel ?

89.9 on the air again???

Yesterday I was driving from AR and hear some christian songs, but no ID or else.

I was able to pick it up for 10 miles from Cumby Tx.

English music by the way....

Someone said it was back on, but I hadn't been back out that way to track it down. I'm curious where the actual transmitter is, since it's not where it claims it is. If it's English music, the translator is still illegal as it's not translating KKVI.
