The new P/D for KKXT is filing in for Gini Masscaro while she's on vacation this week. Looks like he's already expanded the music library. Sounds good.

I had the wife's car for a while on Saturday. (no XM) so I flipped by them for the first time in a while (I had been a financial supporter since day one). After hearing Train's "Sweet Virginia," and Blondie's "Heart of Glass," I was quickly reminded why we stopped sending them money. Good grief.

I think the station is sounding great. Yeah, I don't like the Train either, but that is a small complaint. I do like the deeper cuts from established artists and they play a ton of stuff from artists that you cannot hear on any other D/FW station.

I second that.....they're playing "Smoking Gun" by Robert Cray. When's the last time you heard that song? Q102 days?

I enjoy KXT and contribute during the drives. A lot of the music is great, IMO. Most of the time the variety is great. However, I could do without hearing certain songs on the playlist such as Zombie by the Cranberries, She Talks to Angels by the Black Crowes, and Leaving Las Vegas by Sheryl Crow for a few examples. Those songs have been and continue to be so overplayed on the commercial stations. Maybe play something different from the Black Crowes, Cranberries, and Sheryl Crow. Just my arm chair quarterback two cents.
