Todd Jeffries is now News Director at KRLD-AM in Dallas (see article below).

He announced it around the middle of October 2005 and left near the end of that month. Todd was great!

Jeffries Exits Emmis For Infinity's KRLD Dallas
Oct. 26, 2005
By Ken Tucker

Emmis/Austin, Texas, news director Todd Jeffries heads up I-35 for a similar position at Infinity N/T KRLD (NewsRadio 1080) Dallas. Jeffries replaces Steve Mace, who exited last month.

The move marks a return to the market for Jeffries, who prior to his 10 years in Austin, worked in the Big D as a reporter and anchor.

Oh joy! If he makes KRLD like KLBJ, we can close up that station too. I'm down here on assignment and KLBJ is so bad, I've been taking great pains to pull in KRLD during drive time.

Don't you guys know that 2 news stories followed by the neo-conservative talk hosts calling the people/reporters in the story idiots for 25 minutes before the next news story is useless as the news station KLBJ purports to be?

Hey Spicerun,

I am not a KLBJ-AM fan or listener (except for a few non-political shows like garden shows).

KLBJ-FM listeners have a nickname for KLBJ-AM, it is K.K.K.-LBJ.

I agree with you that they are awful. (Ed Clements and Todd Jeffries were the only entertaining people from that station on weekdays, but their entertainment comes on the FM side.)

Todd would drop by the KLBJ-FM side sometimes. He was funny and entertaining. I was a fan of Todd, not KLBJ-AM.
Edited by flyingdj on 01/31/06 05:27 AM.
