Dude,

Seriously, I'm not flaming you, but do you really think Stacy is going to stick around Lubbock? This is meerly a training ground for these people. Take Carlos for instance. His meteorology training came from his service in the military. KLBK was a station that when that position came open - He would likely get it because of budgets and lack of big money being there for someone with lots of experience. I know what the guy makes and it's not a bunch of money...sure not anywhere close to what "Run for your life" Ron makes. Los' contract is up in about a year and a half...and I say Denver.

No, Carlos can't leave. Me and all my girlfriends are so in LOVE with him! :) We'll all put our money together and give him a BIG raise. :) Hey, it's a thought!

No worries about flamming, I think you're right on target (as someone who worked at KLB-KMAC 41 myself several times) there's not a whole lot of money to throw around in that building.

By the way, you're like the upmteenth person to call him that! I think he's a pro. He deserves the money though. I think if I had a dream team of Lubbock broadcasters, he'd be on it (as would you, and good show today, also).

As for Lubbock as a training ground, I've always known this. It's a wonder that Channel 11 and 32 have as much consistancy as they do. KLB-KMAC seems to have a revolving door however.

Careful, there's a line out the door at 13 for girls wanting to marry him!

Cuidado, chica. He's gotten too big & famous for Lubbock. Let the man stretch his wings, por favor.

No puede ser! We'll go on strike and make them replace Ron Roberts with Carlos.
Hmmmmmmmm.

Okay, I have a question. Why would an emmy winner come back and do sports in the Hub City if this is just a "jumping off point" for many? Not being sarcastic, just a question. Thanks!

You're right, I hadn't thought of that!
Although, I have heard that Pete was concerned about his kids growing up in Philly (it was Philly, right?). Also, KCBD really needed a good sports caster, so I woner if they offered him Ron-bucks LOL?
