Ron Parker brings UP KLDE and what does he get for it? Fired!

Maybe someone has enough smarts to hire him for the Movin format.

Speaking of KLDE, I noticed they added HD2 as of yesterday. It's a simulcast of HD1. Guess they are testing. Any ideas on what type of programming may be on HD2?

Steven

Tookie, you know how the game works. Management (those suites like BOB NEIL) only take credit for good books and lay blame for bad books. So even though Ron dilvered a good book for KLDE it was really BOB NEIL who did all the work. He's a GENIUS! Of course Bob has nothing to do with The Point.... at least until it starts to do something good. Bob is also the genius behind 93Q and for a time (until it settled in blandness) Bob was the brains behind Country Legends. The local guys like Ron, Johnny and Mark are nothing without Bob's guidance... at least according to Bob.

Put Rusty Walker and his cronies in Bob's mix too.

Maybe oldies that skew older, perhaps with pre-Beatles stuff that was dropped from the main format's playlist? Just a guess.

KLUV in DFW has an all-Beatles format on their HD2:

If HD2 is being added on 107.5, I suppose the other Cox signals (92.9, 97.1, 106.9) will be launching additional streams soon, if they haven't already.

KLDE's HD2 channel WILL be earlier Oldies, including some 50's. I think the HD2 broadcast starts Thursday, or not too long thereafter. I've got a partial list in front of me that includes the Platters, the Penguins, Sam Cooke, the Coasters, Carl Perkins, the Five Satins and a host of others.

I hope the HD-2 is more than a bland jukebox....maybe with some slick imaging too...

Streaming online would be cool too. Hopefully it will play the R&B side of the pre 64 stuff too..

HD-2 came online today...I listened to a couple of songs, good selections. Didn't hear any imaging but it's still early. Will update. KHPT-HD2 still running simulcast of HD-1.
