KLEG/44 in Dallas

Anyone know what is up with this station?

For years it was running a mix of local and satellite Spanish programming, but for at least the last month or so, they've just been running nothing -- literally, the transmitter is on, but nothing is being transmitted through it other than a black screen.

Okay, I'm answering my own question here...a recent visit to the FCC's website gave the answer. KLEG/44's Spanish programming has been offered through a LMA for the past several years, and the LMA partner violated terms of the agreement between them and the owner. Specifically, the filing notes that that the LMA partner failed to maintain the station's public file and failed to keep the required records for a class A television station for aired educational children's programming. As a result of failing to meet the agreement with the owner, the LMA has been terminated, and the station is looking for new programming options.

So, for anyone else who was curious, that appears to be at least part of the answer to why KLEG has been broadcasting a blank screen for the past month or so.
