KLHB

It seems that the PD had no clue after they gave AC Cruz the boot and ran the station into the ground. Now they are using the Recuerdo format form Univision and it probably won't work though they can cut their budget by getting rid of all the dj's and the pd. What a shame. KLHB had some good history. Thanks to the little corporal and his hires its gone.....

Caller Times Story

To me, KLHB had the best on-air sound of the Corpus Tejano stations. Magic 104.9/93.5 has character but sometimes amateurish DJs. 99.9 has similar music but the on-air presentation (liners) aren't as appealing to me. I think Tejas should clean up Magic a bit, keep the local DJs but develop a more uniform on-air presentation.

This was clearly a move to save money. It is my understanding that the new format comes entirely off of satellite. The music on the new 98.3 is somewhat similar to Spanish Oldies AM 1400 KUNO and both are non-local formats.

For those counting, Corpus still has 99.9, 104.9/93.5 and AM 1510 in the Tejano/Conjunto category.
