KLIF afternoons? JD Wells & KSKY?

Anyone have any insight as to what may be airing in JD's timeslot come Monday?

Sucks for JD...The few times I listened to KLIF, it was just his show, everyone else I can do without.

Steve Nichol is such a tool. Hands down, he's the worst PD in this market...He doesn't know up from down when it comes to whats going on with the station. I love how he calls PT board ops to help walk him through the audio system they use because he doesn't know how to operate it properly - something a PD should, yes? He has no control over his "team." I understand that JD leaving probably wasn't all his doing, but I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Anyhow, JD, KSKY could use ya! They're getting themselves into position to make a run in the market...The website is (slowly) being updated to the 21st century (twitter, facebook, etc) and they NEEEEEEED a live and local show. I understand Gallagher is technically local, but its just the national broadcast...No face (or voice) the station can pimp to the masses. You can be it.

Start with GM John Peroyea (pronounced 'Per-roy-uhh') and OM David Darling. I also know 2 people at KSKY who you worked with at KLIF - so you'll have a few friends!

Obviously, it's just wishful thinking that he'd get back on in Dallas ASAP...Not sure how JD and the cookie cutter lineups that are Salem would pan out together...

They do seem to have a more powerful daytime signal than KLIF and KRLD...Night time is a crapshoot.

It would make sense, but in reality it won't make cents.......

When JD returns to the DFW dial, I'll be tuning in - wherever on the dial that is.

I'm still trying to figure out why KLIF cited "we're going in a different direction" for his departure. What direction might that be? Guess they want a crappy show in afternoon drive instead of a great one.

Just sayin.

I pulled some M25-54 ratings to look at the sportswar, and just glanced at where KLIF is.

29th.

Maybe a different direction is upwards into the 20ths, instead of backward into the 30's, where his show has resided in past months. I like Jon David, we've traded some PM's here, but perhaps this is just ratings based.

Basically I was just wondering why other shows on the station weren't changed at the same time.

The station as a whole has been low in ratings. I'd be curious to see if time slots other than just afternoon drive are any better. If not, when or if will those shows go bye-bye.

AllAccess.com is reporting that they're replacing The Wells Report with Chris Krok. He's filled-in at KLIF before and is currently at Cumulus' WMAC-AM in Macon, GA.
