KLOL Maintains Lead over Univision

Looks as KLOL continues to beat out the Univision stations in PPM. David Eduardo didn't you forecast a major downturn for KLOL? What happened?

Has this ever came up in your mind? Latinos didnt have a choice but to listen to Univision stations! Univision was like a dictator! We had to listen to what ever Univision played or we didnt listen to no spanish at all! But then came Democracy with LBI and KLOL! And now we have more choices!

You must have been droped when you were little.

Does "El Dorado" Ring a bell? Univision has never been close to dictator. When El Dorado decided to exit, LBI was already here. And before that, KQQK, KRTX-FM and KXTJ were around. Seems to me KLTN has always had competition.

Repeatedly. There has been some sort of Spanish language station in Houston ever since I can remember, and it's surely not been Univision at the helm for all those years.

Correct, and also before Univision, there was HBC, and before that, there was Tichenor? (I forgot if it was Heftel or Tichenor, anyone remember?)

And before Felix Morales started up KLVL their was already spanish programming on KXYZ 1320am..
Seems to me that Mega has the lead for now but their making changes like they started a new mix show at 5pm to compete with the new changes at KLTN and KAMA .I noticed KAMA improved their numbers at night and also has a small gain in drive time 3-7pm, but somthing has got to be done about the morning show!

It was Felix Morales who runed the show on KXYZ. the only difference between KLVL and the shows on KXYZ is hat KLVL was full time.

I think they are only defending themselves from KAMA, not KLTN. It is not direct competition. If KAMA makes a small run for it, it may be over for KLOL and its title as the number one rated Spanish radio station.

Rest assured, we will probably see The Luis Jimenez Show out of NYC if the current morning show fails.

No one is fighting you on that. Morales ran a show on KXYZ before KLVL.
