KLOS - Rare good radio happening this week

You can enjoy some of the old rock radio goodies from the days of KMET and KLOS this week. KLOS is off its tired playlist of the same old, same old and is doing another A to Z thing. They really do a nice job of dusting off some lesser heard nuggets, if you like rock.

The only downside are the loud, busy, and annoying station IDs and bumpers. But if you can ignore them, they're playing some great music. Like XM's Deep Tracks, but with good sound and live DJs!

is there a way I can get the entire listing of songs?

They never post it, for some reason. However you could go on Yes.com and figure them all out, if you had nothing better to do. I can, though, predict that the last song will either be Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie or Zooropa by U2, though! (They're on the letter "T" at this point.)

Considering it took KRTH about 3 1/2 days to do the (excellent) Top 1001, this A to Z must have 3000 songs or more in it. At this point they are on Day #8.

Its amazing how many great songs aren't getting played anymore. I haven't spent this much time listening to KLOS in a long time. Good Job KLOS!

KLOS did put out a blue and white booklet of the A to Z list when they first started doing them many years ago. The booklets were available at the old Warehouse record stores. Somewhere in my files I have a copy.

I remember KLSX doing something similar too, printing out lists.

Back in those days, though, KLOS never did very long A to Z's. These ones they're doing last few years now outdo anything from the past.

I vote next year they make it even longer!
