KLOU now "Rewind 103.3"

Clear Channel Classic Hits KLOU has re-imaged to "Rewind 103.3" - no changes in staff, only negligible changes in music, a bit more focused on 80s now, but still hearing some 60s.

Rewind is basically the same old station, and it sounds every bit as tired, boring and uninspiring as the previous "KLOU" and "My 103.3." I have to agree that KLOU was a much better station 10 years ago. I realize I was probably one of the few, but I even enjoyed the "St. Louis Superhits" format it did in around '02. It's really a shame that the station has no real personality anymore despite having some solid personalities, like Julie Buck and Paul Arca, at the station.

Julie Buck is still at KLOU, but I would hardly call her a solid personality - talk about riding on the coattails...She is so bad, I don't think she could've got a job in Louisiana, MO if it weren't for her last name. The Premium Choice people are better, and they are all very small market sounding.

I think Arca still works there as Prod. Director, but is no longer on air, or he may VT an overnight shift.

Honestly, I think the station would sound better if they just patched it in with one of the 24-7 Classic Hits formats from Dial Global or Citadel. 100.3 and 93.7 are just as bad, however, 93.7 did just bring in a new local morning show from CHR WBNQ Bloomington/Normal, I have yet to check it out.

The Clear Channel stations here would be embarrassingly bad for an operator in a market even as small as Hannibal/Quincy, moreless market 21. Eagerly awaiting the fire sale of Clear Channel, nobody could possibly do a worse job of running these stations into the ground then they are.

Paul Arca is still there. He's Prod Director and VTs Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Speaking of Julie..check out her interview with Sam Bradford of the Rams.
