Not sure when this happened but the Spanish station has apparenty been sold/ leased to KLOVE. Now there is a Major station with the signal in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. With a lot of overlap. 91.1 and 91.9 are still broadcasting the signal also.
Given the growing Hispanic population in Metro New Orleans, I would expect someone else to come in and pick up the audience for pop Latino, even if on a translator like iHeart did with rock on 96.3.
Cumulus sure could have used this signal for Nash. It would have given them half a chance to compete with WNOE. I like the monster coverage of WRKN but the in-building reception in NOLA metro is tough in some spots due to distance and is likely causing loss of market share.
I don't even see Cumulus being aggressive with launching more Nash branded radio stations anymore so I guess expectations on changing heritage country stations to that name were not being met.
Also for over a month Klove removed 91.1 and 91.9 from its station list but has not added it to the Air 1 list so what are the pair doing now.
