Does anybody know what happend to K Love 106.5 ? I mean they are the ones that took over the signal of KQQK, and then they left and only that station recuerdos is on know. I know that K Love is in CAlifornia, what happend to it?

KOVE changed format from AC/Pop on December 25, 2006. The call letters remained the same, but the name changed form K-Love to Recuerdo 106.5.

The original K-Love is in Los Angeles, about 50 feet down the hall from me.
 
It's not that K-Love was doing very poor, they just decided to go with Spanish Adult hits. They saw that this music did very well in other markets compared to the Amor format and since they had similar targets, they just saw this as a very easy step up. It has paid off very nicely.
 
I like some of the music Recuerdos like Los Tigres Del Norte, bronco, vicente Fernadez, Tucanes, and La Mafia everything else I dont like not even Ramon Ayala

Even I don't care. Simply don't listen. That is why your radio has a tuning knob or scan button.
 
the only thing about klove i miss is the club remotes i use to engineer when we had Noches de Fiesta on weekend nites. the music was new and had a lil regeton, salsa, merengue, etc..everything else related
so much engineering fees = income lost ;D

You know what I'd like? That more Puerto Rican stations streamed their audio on the 'net ;D

In the meantime I'll listen to Radio Isla, Radio Puerto Rico, Sistema 102 and... um, um...

oh yeah, Notiuno, Fidelity and SalSoul ;)
