Now I am confused...if they have been billing the same
and the standards format was in decline..where did they
pick up in billings?

Last year, after putting AA on had about a 10% increase.

Was Air America paying CC to carry it? I heard that they were paying stations in some markets to continue carrying it.

The only AA station that is "paid" appears to be WLIB in NY, which they rented completely. The rest are affiliates on a barter agreement.
