KLTO Sound

To me, KLTO sounds distorted. It has been since they had the mess up of "the rock" computer glitch. It'd be great if they could fix it. KLTO sounded pretty good for a long time till now.

Yeah, it's panned to the right, and it clips a bit on some songs.

KBBT-HD2 sounds great however.

Still can't believe they have not fixed this yet. Do they not have anyone to work on this issue?

I don't think their Engineering department pays much attention to their cluster. In Houston and Austin, every Univision FM station has their RDS displaying Song and Title information while the San Antonio cluster is doing nothing with them.

From what I have noticed, KLTO and KGSX have no RDS. KXTN simply says "KXTN-FM", KROM displays "ESTEREO LATINO" in a loop, and KBBT displays "The Beat www.thebeatsa.com" IIRC. How hard can it be to add song and title to the stations that are RDS ready?

Not sure about the KGSX, PARTY or KXTN but The Beat does display the artist and title of the song.

The party has no RDS or HD.

I remember when KLTO was "La Kalle" back in Jan 2007-March 2008. The signal into Austin seemed to be clearer on the southside (William Cannon/I-35, Stassney/I-35). It wasn't local, but it came in clearer than 99-5 KISS, for example. When KLTO flipped to 97-7 Rock in March 2008, the signal into South Austin wasn't as good. I wonder if they moved the tower from Bebe to Nixon or Stockdale so that it could be somewhat closer to San Antonio.

Looks like they finally fixed the problem. Wish univision would pay more attention to their stations.
