KLUC Overnights

I heard that Lumpy "the boy toy" is out at KLUC. He still has an appearence listed on their website though.

word on the street is Cat wanted John James to fill in for Mr. Bob. Lump Dizzle wasn't happy about it, said to Cat why did you bring me back if i'm not going to be fulltime? Cat tells Lump he'd rather make John fulltime on air before Lumpy and from what i was told he basically fired Lumpy but Dizzle said he quits.

my source works in the building so i don't doubt the validity to this story.

i always thought Lumpy was GREAT on the air. his on air personality is as good as Mr. Bob's.

if this story is true then is too sad that EGOs get in the way.

i forgot it wasn't bob's shift it was jb's.

another little bird told me the rest of the story. i guess lumpy offended some of jb's listeners before so cat went with john.

lumpy, sorry to hear what happened. hope cat doesnt make it final. sorry to gossip about you, but this is more intresting that what callofthewild likes to blab about. ;D

he was decent on air when he actually talked. He needs to go to another format to be better suited.
Who do you think would be a viable candidate to handle overnights?

I am not sure about KLUC weekends. Bad. I guess the bosses do not feel weekend staffers strong enough to put Lauren on the air weekends! Sickening when you can not handle simple on air shift. Not that I think shes good in the mornings either. FYI, I AM KLUC target listener. 25 year old professional Female.

Las vegas weekends are abismal at best.
Hot just needs to play music straight through and keep the jabbering QUIET!
Star is basic as basic can get. I would like to hear more request intensive on weekends.

Lumpy? Good on the air? As opposed to who? He's the weakest overnight talent that station has ever had! Cat isn't known for screwing people so I'm sure Lumpy screwed up BIG! Now that he's gone, I will actually listen to overnights for a change...

excuse me, when i said fulltime i meant as one of the major shifts, like being promoted to the afternoon or night shift. yes, i knew john was image/production director.
