Well, after all this they did come out with a new voiceover. Sean Caldwell instead of Pat Garret. Anyone remember who it was before him? Also, playing Maroon 5, weezer and james blunt. a little more mainstream chr than the very limited kelly clarkson and greenday they were running before. Any other changes anyone else has noticed?

Didn't they use Sean Caldwell before. I remember picking up KLUC via DX a few summers ago and I thought it was him.

If KLUC is really playing artists like Weezer I think it will hurt sister station KMXB to some degree. The more mainstream KLUC becomes the less MIX will serve as the default mainstream. It will also help HOT 97.5 (who had a great trend yesterday) as they will be the only real rhythmic in LV.

Still, most of the time KLUC is playing rhythmic hits. The pop is spice. They remind me a little of CBS sister station B96/Chicago who also recently added "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. Or maybe the resurgent KIIS/LA is a role model. I guess you could call stations like that "rhythmic lite".

You are correct. They have used Sean Caldwell before. This isn't the first time KLUC returned to a voice they used in the past, this was at least the second time they used Pat Garrett.
