KLVS 107.3 Livermore

This is interesting. KLVS was recently granted a CP to move their transmitter to Rocky Ridge at 4.1kw. The new site is 2200' AMSL and, from Google Earth, has LOS to SF and much of the peninsula, as well as west side of the south bay. This appears a significant improvement over the previous site, Mt. Diablo at about 900 watts.

Recall, previously the station was longtime licensed to Stockton as KSTN, with a 8.1kw grandfathered site on the eastern face of Mt. Diablo foothills. San Joaquin Broadcasting changed the COL to Livermore and continues to move the stick westward.

I'd be interested in reception reports throughout the bay area with the new facility. This move should significantly increase the $$ value of that signal. Thoughts??

I've been following this move too. While it will increase the value, EMF's goal has always been to have a full market signal in San Francisco. It looks like they've made that goal.
