KLVS 99.5

Their STA to remain off air has been dismissed by the FCC.

My question is, are they back on the air?

I'd love to see EMF sell the station. Sacramento doesn't need two K-LOVE's and they seem to be content using the 99.1 on Sutter Buttes with the three Sacramento translators at 105.9 (Bee Tower), 107.1 (formerly 93.3) North Highlands (Rosebud Tower) and 99.1 Folsom (Clarksville) for Air 1.

Don't forget KLRS/89.7 in Walnut Grove. You'd think that signal would be sufficient enough as a primary to cover the Sacramento area w/o all the translators.

KLVS/99.5 is currently not on the air (as of 8:51pm PT, 10/21/09).

Exactly my point. they don't need both KLRS and KLVS for K-Love.

Hey look at the brightside.....you can always replace it with Radio Disney.
lol...

What are EMF's options at this point? Maybe try to get a CP to relocate to another stick somewhere and then sell the frequency? Although 99.5 covers Sac better, it would make sense to market that freq as a Class A commercial and keep the existing 89.7 site.

I never did understand what low power translators did for stations like these anyway. It seems to me it just confuses people as to where to tune. If you're trying to get coverage OUTSIDE of your main coverage area than I think you're just being greedy, glutting up the dial (AND causing interference as 90.1 does to KDVS in Davis if your within 2 miles of the Auburn blvd. translator @ 90.1) and robbing another area of a low-power frequency. Congress would seem to agree at this point. It's looking like second adjacent channel protection will be gone in favor of more LP FM's.
